There is absolutely no question that an athlete's experience within his sport is almost completely colored by the type of coach he is lucky or unlucky enough to draw. A good coach will teach the athlete to love the sport. He will inspire that athlete to dream big and take risks in pursuit of that goal. He will motivate the athlete to work hard, push through pain and fatigue and bounce back from setbacks and failures. He will build trust among team members and teach each athlete to sacrifice the "I" for the "we." A good coach will teach valuable life lessons and model these through his behaviors and interactions with the athlete and everyone he comes in contact with. A good coach will directly and indirectly change that athlete into a better, more confident, happier person.
A bad coach, on the other hand will teach very different lessons. Through his treatment of his players and interactions with those around him he will turn his athletes off to the sport. He will gradually kill the athlete's love and enjoyment of the game. He will steal the athlete's self-confidence and energy and replace them with self-doubts and apathy. A bad coach will motivate the athlete to expend his energies in self-protection and risk avoidance, rather than personal excellence. He will breed jealousy, selfishness and mistrust on the team. He will snuff out dreams and make the athlete fear failure on and off the playing field. A bad coach will leave the athlete diminished and embittered.

If I could only see a Castle
Oh my Goodness!! How could you not believe in magic and wonder with castles in the world? They are the structures of Kings, literally! They are power, wonder, amazement and grace all in one.
I have dreamed for as long as I can remember to so a Castle, a real straight up wonder. When I see pictures of them I think of all the stories and history they could tell. Hours of the past, the things we could learn. They could speak volumes. Each one holding people, rulers, prisoners, maids, gentlemen, animals, mad men and women, hidden walls and rooms. And the Secrets they keep, just thinking about it makes my mind aw in delight.
One Day!! I will see one, or many, that would be even better.

Angry is when we are most Honest
There are times that I get so upset I feel like I am going to explode. Sometimes I wish that was the case but it's not, when I get angry I cry, pathetic I know! I saw this quote and really started to think about what it says. Listen to people when they are angry, that's when they tell the truth!
That is true, completely and simply True! We are really a simple people who if you look close enough will tell you exactly what you want to hear. Our body language is a tell all if you are watching close!!
People will tell you all you want to know if you just look, listen and watch.
I'm Back and Present Again!
I have blogged before and I loved it! Time of course changes things and I got busy with working and lost track of what was important. I can't believe how much time I have lost, with family, my boys, my husband, the world in general. My old job took everything from me and didn't give much if anything back. I loved that job, the people and so much around it and about it.
I finally realized while watching Toryen play in a game of no no importance at the time that he had grown so much and I had missed it, or rather was not paying attention like I should. As I sat there I started to think of what was really important and It was not my job.
As days passed and I continued to watch my boys, my husband, the world! I realized I needed to change, be better for them, be present!
It was the hardest thing ever to put in my notice and yet there was not any regret.
It has been months since I have quit and I love the time I have had with my boys and I am looking forward to this Summer and the Adventures we get to have because I am not consumed with work and phone calls at all hours of the day and night.
I have currently started working at another Treatment Center 4 days a week from 3am - 7am, Its really the perfect time, the easiest job and more great people.
My boys are peacefully asleep at home and I will be there when they wake up and all through the day when they may need me, but in a way I can still have this place that is mine and something I do for me. It also helps out with money a bit ;)
